The final chapter of the popular horror game is approaching.
Mob Entertainment has announced the release date for Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 — the final chapter in the series. The PC release is scheduled for February 18, 2026, with a console version coming "in the following months."
The new trailer, titled The Prototype, showcases fresh locations and the main antagonist — Experiment 1006, also known as the Prototype. This is a sentient creation that became the source of the nightmare at the Playtime Co. factory. According to the lore, the Prototype was behind the organization of "The Hour of Joy," which led to mass killings of employees and the seizure of the complex by animated toys. In addition to him, players who find themselves in the deepest sections of the factory will have a new encounter with the iconic Huggy Wuggy, as he is believed to be the only survivor of those who obeyed the Prototype.
The new chapter promises "nauseating horrors," untrustworthy helpers, and puzzles that will require the use of updated tools and mechanics.
