Capcom to Present Resident Evil 5 Remake in March? Sheva Actress Hints at Announcement for Series' 30th Anniversary
Actress Karen Dyer, who voiced Sheva Alomar in Resident Evil 5, has fueled interest in the upcoming 30th anniversary of the series. On her X page, she posted a short video with the caption "Got some cool stuff cooking for March. Stay tuned!", accompanying the post with the hashtags #ResidentEvil30thAnniversary and #RE5.
In the video itself, the actress is walking down the street, and the phrase appears over the image: "When you know something but can't share it with the world... yet."
There is no official confirmation from Capcom yet, but considering that the company has been consistently bringing back classic parts of the series in the form of remakes in recent years—from Resident Evil 2 to Resident Evil 4—reissuing the fifth part fits well into this strategy.
The 30th anniversary of Resident Evil falls in March 2026. Capcom has already launched an official website for the anniversary and announced a collaboration with the Japanese metal band BABYMETAL. Fans expect key announcements to be made on March 22, the release date of the first Resident Evil on PlayStation in 1996.
