Star Wars Jedi 3 May Release This Year - Insider
The third episode of Cal Kestis' adventures should conclude the game trilogy.
Kinda Funny co-founder Tim Gettys shared rumors about a possible release of the third installment of Star Wars Jedi as early as 2026. According to him, the project has a chance to be released this year, although he emphasizes that this is not an "ironclad guarantee."
"I was thinking about what unannounced games might come out in 2026. And, it seems to me, the sequel to Jedi: Survivor has a good chance."
Gettys clarified that he "heard something" about the development progress and believes that at the current pace, the Respawn team could theoretically prepare the release by autumn, and the announcement will take place before Summer Game Fest.
If the rumor is confirmed, the production cycle will be even shorter than that of Survivor, released in 2023. Recall that four years passed between Fallen Order and its sequel — including due to the pandemic. This time, the studio did not have such restrictions, but the project lost a key figure: in 2024, Stig Asmussen, the director of the series, left Respawn.
In 2023, actor Cameron Monaghan, who plays Cal Kestis, confirmed that work on the third part is indeed underway. However, since then, Respawn and EA have shared practically no news about the project.
