Studio poncle is working on a Vampire Survivors spin-off called Vampire Crawlers. The project is a roguelike with a card deck and elements of a classic dungeon crawler, set in the familiar universe. Since its announcement in November 2025, the game has been added to the wishlist of over 200,000 Steam users. Now, the developers have announced the upcoming release of a demo version that will allow players to try out the key mechanics.
The free demo version will be available on February 23 on PC via Steam as part of Steam Next Fest, as well as on Xbox Series X/S.
At the same time, the authors launched the video series Let’s Explore Vampire Crawlers, in which they gradually reveal the gameplay features. In the first episode, the team detailed two basic elements of the game.
«Turboboat» is an accelerated turn-based combat system. The player does not need to wait for the end of animations: actions are entered immediately, and the game queues them. According to Poncle, this mechanic makes tactical battles dynamic and «chaotically enjoyable».
The developers also talked about deck customization. With the help of special stones, cards can be enhanced, their effects can be changed, and used for evolution, similar to Vampire Survivors. The system is designed for both simple upgrades and the creation of «broken» builds with chain effects and destructive combinations.
The project will be released in 2026 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. There is no information about a demo for PlayStation, Switch, and mobile devices yet.
