Ubisoft and Atari are preparing a юбилейное переиздание of the first Rayman - the project has received an age rating in Australia
The classic Rayman may return to modern platforms.
It seems that Ubisoft is preparing a gift for the 30th anniversary of the Rayman platformer series. The Australian Classification Board database has a mention of Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition — a new edition of the original game, released on PlayStation in 1995.
According to the classification page, the project is intended for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, and Atari is listed in the publisher field. The applicant is U&I Entertainment — a company specializing in physical editions of games. This indirectly confirms that the anniversary version of Rayman will receive not only a digital release, but also a physical edition.
The rating was assigned on January 22, 2026 — just one day after a large-scale reorganization of Ubisoft, in which the publisher canceled several projects, including the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Despite the internal reshuffle, the company assured that it would continue to develop its key brands, and, apparently, Rayman is one of them.
There has been no official announcement from Ubisoft yet, but the leak indirectly confirms rumors that the French publisher is preparing not only a переиздание, but also a new project in the Rayman universe. In September 2025, the company celebrated the 30th anniversary of the series and hinted that the anniversary would be a «продолжительным праздником». At the same time, insider Tom Henderson reported that Ubisoft is working on a remake of the original game and a potential Rayman 4. Apparently, the project that received the age rating may be that remake.
