The initiative came specifically from Build a Rocket Boy.
The studio Build a Rocket Boy, known for the failed action game MindsEye, is ending its cooperation with the publishing division of IO Interactive. This was reported by Insider Gaming.
The studio's management intends to take full control of publishing functions in order to speed up decision-making, simplify internal processes, and gain more influence over the project's development and user experience.
The changes will also affect previously announced plans. In particular, the MindsEye crossover with the Hitman series, presented at Summer Game Fest 2025, has been canceled. Instead, the studio will focus on fixes, technical improvements, and the release of new content for MindsEye.
An official statement from Build a Rocket Boy about the split with IO Interactive is expected to appear in the near future.
