The interactive detective game, which received "very positive" reviews on Steam, is once again available on iOS and Android.
Publisher Playstack has announced the re-release of the mobile version of The Case of the Golden Idol. The game has reappeared in the App Store and Google Play after being removed from the Netflix Games catalog in the summer of 2025, along with a number of other projects.
The Case of the Golden Idol is a point-and-click detective game in which the player is invited to independently analyze evidence, reconstruct chains of events, and draw conclusions without prompts. The plot covers 12 mysterious deaths, stretched over 50 years and interconnected.
The mobile version features a free trial mode with the investigation of two cases. The full version is unlocked for a separate purchase and includes 12 main scenarios, 6 bonus cases, as well as The Spider of Lanka and The Lemurian Vampire add-ons.
In addition, The Case of the Golden Idol is still available on PC in Steam. There, the game has 97% positive reviews based on more than 8,800 reviews.
