TES VI Returns to Bethesda "Classics" - Todd Howard Reveals New Details

Bethesda head Todd Howard talked about The Elder Scrolls 6 in the Kinda Funny Gamescast episode. The game will be a return to the studio's "classic" RPG style after "creative deviations" with Fallout 76 and Starfield.

If you look at our games, we are always evolving. We have a certain style that we like and that fans like, and we want to get better and better at it. Fallout 76 and Starfield are a small creative detour from the classic Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Skyrim and Oblivion, where you explore the world in a certain way. Returning to Elder Scrolls VI, we are returning to this classic style that we have long loved and that we know very well.

Howard added that the studio has been upgrading Creation Engine 2 to Creation Engine 3 for Elder Scrolls VI for two years, which will provide high detail and new technical capabilities:

When you enter the world, you feel like you are exploring it for the first time. We are happy with how everything is developing now.

Although the game was announced seven years ago, there is no exact release date yet.
