1C Game Studios continues to talk about "Korea. IL-2 Series". This is a flight simulator, but an important part of the game is what happens on the ground.
This time, the focus is on nature. The developers have refined various aspects of the graphics engine and revised old approaches to work in order to present the environment as realistic, high-quality and natural as possible:
Our artists have fully deconstructed the methods and approaches that existed in "Great Battles" and created new ones for "Korea" in order to obtain a more detailed, diverse and realistic appearance of nature. A lot of work was done to find color schemes, proportions, textures, and natural patterns. All this had to be searched from scratch due to new technologies and new lighting. If you look at past diaries and "flying meetings", you can notice that in early screenshots the ground looks dark, uniform, and objects look unnatural against its background. This is just due to the use of temporary textures and approaches to their color ratios, but new technologies require new parameters. Now there are more details and variety in the environment. Nature is perceived and illuminated much more naturally.
