World of Warships has received an update dedicated to Cosmonautics Day, which noticeably changes the familiar gameplay.
The main event is the temporary mode "Space Front" featuring 6v6 battles on special maps. For the first time, guided missiles have appeared in the game, as well as energy shields, adding dynamism, spectacle, and tactical depth to battles. In addition, a respawn system has been introduced directly during battle for points earned, making matches faster-paced and more intense.
The teams' objective is to destroy the enemy base, but a key role in this is played by the powerful boss battleship Beowulf, whose appearance becomes the decisive moment of each battle and requires coordinated actions from the entire team.
The update also includes thematic content: new commanders, rewards, and visual elements in a space style. Among the battle pass rewards is cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev with unique voiceover.
In addition, the game has added early access to a new branch of Pan-American destroyers, interface improvements, additional camouflages and achievements, as well as updated tutorial missions for newcomers.
The "Space Front" mode will be available for a limited time — from April 8 to May 6.
