Graveyard Keeper has become one of the most notable indie games of the last decade and, along with Stardew Valley, has achieved great success.
The Lazy Bear Games project did not show the same numbers as Stardew Valley, but over 8 years it has gathered a sufficient audience for the sequel to start confidently. Against the background of free access, the first part set a record - more than 46 thousand players simultaneously, which was the best result for all time.
Two days after the announcement, Graveyard Keeper 2 rose to 110th place in the global wishlist and gained almost 18 thousand subscribers. This could mean up to 180 thousand additions to wishlists. Currently, the game ranks second in terms of the speed of gaining wishlists in all of Steam.
If the dynamics continue, Graveyard Keeper 2 may repeat the success of Slay the Spire 2.
