81-year-old Minecraft streamer's house stormed by SWAT during live broadcast - she found it a "funny" incident
A stream marathon was underway during the raid.
Earlier this year, many in the gaming community noticed the story of an 81-year-old gamer known as GrammaCrackers. She started publishing Minecraft videos on YouTube and conducting live streams to earn money and help her grandson, who has cancer.
In May, a "prankster" noticed her Twitch stream and decided to call SWAT. A group of police officers, armed with assault rifles, entered GrammaCrackers' streaming room. At that moment, a 24/7 marathon was ongoing, and viewers could watch what was happening in the house.
GrammaCrackers' family said that about 20 police cars arrived, SWAT officers, and drones were used. The streamer herself joked that she had "never in her life" received so much attention.
But GrammaCrackers got the chance to ride in a police car for the first time:
I was sound asleep, didn't want to get up at all. They came through the door… and the most beautiful police officer I've ever seen appeared – she has beautiful eyes, so sweet. But, I think, if necessary, she could kick some ass […] They took me outside, and I didn't understand what was happening, but it was even a little fun. My grandchildren and my child were hugging me. You know, usually you don't get so much attention. I was hugged from all sides. I really enjoyed it!
