Weta Workshop Opens Pre-Orders for Smeagol and Deagol Statue from "The Lord of the Rings" Universe
The "Smeagol and Deagol: Shadow of the Past" statue by Weta Workshop will only be released in 2027, but Tolkien fans can already watch an overview video and pre-order this collectible item.
Weta Workshop kept its promise and today opened pre-orders for the limited 1/6 scale "Smeagol and Deagol: Shadow of the Past" statue. To celebrate this event, the team published an overview video of this collectible item dedicated to "The Lord of the Rings" universe.
The statue, made of polystone, polyurethane, and metal, can be purchased for $899 (63,851 rubles). Its height is 34 cm, width is 35 cm, depth is 25 cm, and weight is 7 kg.
Weta Workshop employees depicted Smeagol and Deagol floating in a small boat. Below them, a large fish pulls on the fishing line, drawing the eye down through the transparent acrylic surface that serves as the boundary of the river's surface.
The two-level composition is a conscious design decision. Smeagol is depicted as he was before acquiring the One Ring. In this earlier image, Andy Serkis's likeness is carefully recreated.
Shipping of the statues is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
