Authors of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Reworked Skills and Fixed Critical PvP Bug
Developers continue to rebalance and fix bugs.
In early June, the authors of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era introduced the eighth and ninth patches. The developers focused on balance issues, reworked some skills, and fixed several bugs.
The game now features the highly requested "Alt + F4 protection" — previously, players could escape a PvP match with this key combination with impunity:
The application crash system has been reworked. If one of the players closes the application using Alt+F4, the system correctly registers an automatic defeat for them and a victory for the opponent.
Some skills and artifacts have been reworked, for example:
The "Summon Avatar" skill is now positioned as fully magical, and the summoned avatar will no longer receive a defense bonus, while the attack bonus depends on the hero's magic power (and does not depend on attack).
Ring of Neutrality:
- Rarity: epic → rare.
- Effect reworked: the artifact now only neutralizes luck (instead of luck and morale as before).
Some other changes and improvements:
- Fixed a bug where traps created during a siege did not deal damage to creatures that stepped on them.
- Positive and negative effects applied to the hero and creatures have become much more noticeable.
- Damage from defensive towers during a siege now correctly scales depending on the number of buildings in the city.
- Fixed a bug with the appearance of a "zero" squad when sending a hero to the "Guild of Six Winds" in the Temple city.
- Fixed a bug where rank 7 creatures in the diplomacy window blocked the purchase of all other creatures in that window.
- Fixed incorrect behavior of the recruitment window when there was not enough gold to buy creatures.
- Fixed a visual bug with displaying creature movement range in the tactics phase.
- Pressing Shift in the tooltip for elite subclasses (in the hero window) now allows you to view details about the skills required to obtain these classes.
