Developers used modern technologies in their work, and some users are very concerned about this fact.

Recently, the developers of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis presented new footage, as well as announced the release date and some technical details.

Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog announced that they are using artificial intelligence in their work. A corresponding notification appeared on the game's Steam page:

During development, AI-powered tools were used to assist in early exploration and the creation of temporary content.

The authors of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis clarified that all materials created with AI were subsequently "either replaced or refined by humans to preserve the creative and artistic vision of the development team."

Nevertheless, some AI opponents are already rushing to label the game as "AI slop" and are trying to launch a cancellation campaign online. A few months ago, the authors of Crimson Desert faced criticism for AI assets – not everything was removed in the release version, but after player complaints, they replaced everything, and the project ultimately received positive reviews.

You can add Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis to your Steam wishlist via the following link. The regular release is expected on February 12, 2027, on PC and consoles, but there will also be early access for premium edition owners.

Previously, the game's reputation among PC gamers was damaged by the announcement of Denuvo protection.
