Filming of the third season of "The Last of Us" suspended until the end of June - Media
The pause is not related to production problems or project cancellation.
Filming for the third season of HBO's "The Last of Us" has been temporarily paused. According to the British Columbia production directory, work on the show, which is listed in documents under the working title Calm Current, has been suspended from June 1 to June 28.
HBO representatives have not commented, but industry media link the break to Vancouver's preparations for the FIFA World Cup matches. The Canadian city will host seven matches from June 13 to July 7, which complicates logistics and access to necessary locations.

The pause will not affect the overall release schedule. Production began in March and will continue until the end of November, with the June break having been factored into the filming schedule in advance.
The premiere of the continuation is still expected in 2027.
