Final Fantasy Remakes Hit Steam Sales Charts Thanks to Discounts

Square Enix continues to actively reduce prices for its major releases while expanding its multiplatform approach. This strategy is paying off: the Final Fantasy series has climbed to the top of Steam sales.

Final Fantasy VII has returned to the top ten best-selling games on the platform. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade currently holds the seventh spot.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is being sold on Steam at its lowest price since release, with a 65% discount. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth also received a record discount of 60%. Prices have also been reduced for classic entries in the series: Final Fantasy V, IV, VI, and III.

These steps indicate preparation for a full-fledged multiplatform strategy. The final part of the Final Fantasy VII remake series, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, will be released on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and PS5 in 2027.
