In June, Coffee Stain Studios returned with the full release of update 1.2 for Satisfactory. Until recently, the update was available in test mode.

The developers reported that they updated the game engine: it now uses Unreal Engine 5.6.1. In addition, rain made a triumphant return — with improved visual effects, including buildings and the protagonist's suit getting wet. Players can adjust the intensity and frequency of rain on the new World settings tab in the menu.

Satisfactory now supports “dynamic gamepad swapping” — thanks to a new option, players can seamlessly switch from mouse and keyboard to a controller without changing them in the settings menu: “Now, every time you press a button or key on a controller or keyboard, the game will automatically adapt to the device you are using.”

With the release of update 1.2, liquid transport stations and trucks were added to the game — they can hold 3200 cubic meters.

Satisfactory developers soon discovered technical problems, which they began to gradually fix. The first such patch v1.2.3.0 fixes a memory leak caused by “numerous drone-related issues”; several critical errors that led to crashes, as well as bugs when playing on Steam Deck.
