Path of Exile 2 Bug Abusers "Traumatized" Game Director and Ruined His Christmas
The developer remembered that incident very well, as he was forced to work during the holiday season.
Recently, streamer Zizaran spoke with Jonathan Rogers and Mark Roberts, game directors of Path of Exile 2. During the interview, one of the developers shared a painful experience.
Grinding Gear Games studio promptly fixes various bugs that can negatively affect the in-game economy balance. And, as Mark recalled, players once found a vulnerability in a temple — they started actively farming Vaal Temple.
As a result, the developer had to work during the holiday season to implement urgent fixes:
The temple ruined Christmas for me… that temple just destroyed me.
It so "happened" that during their conversation with streamer Zizaran, the Path of Exile 2 developers received a signal that there were problems with the temple again: players had once again found a way to break it. Mark Roberts said that he no longer feels any pity for the temple or for the players who go to farm it — now he is ready to nerf it even in the middle of the season if necessary:
Believe me, I would get immense pleasure from just destroying the temple right now. I don't care if it's a "mid-league nerf." I've lost all sympathy for this cursed temple and everyone who goes to farm it. I'm exaggerating, of course, I don't actually want to just "make it bad," but you understand — [that incident with the temple] left some trauma.
