Japanese Gamers Name Most Desired Games - GTA VI Not in Top 5
Some games interest Japanese gamers more than Rockstar Games' project.
Recently, the well-known Japanese gaming publication Famitsu conducted a reader survey. Grand Theft Auto VI made it into the top ten "most desired" projects, but it is far from the first place.
In addition to GTA, the resulting list features many games from long-standing franchises, including Star Fox, Onimusha, Persona, and Pokémon.
Top 10 most desired games (according to Famitsu readers).
10 — Star Fox – this game received 164 votes.
9 — Kyoto Xanadu – 170 votes.
8 — Onimusha Way of the Sword – 223.
7 — Grand Theft Auto VI – 246.
6 — Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave – 254.
5 — Rhythm Heaven Groove – 387.
4 — Ganbare Goemon Daishuugo – 419.
The top three most desired games (according to Japanese gamers) are rounded out by a new version of the RPG from Atlus, while the first two places were taken by projects from well-known Nintendo franchises — Splatoon and Pokémon:
3 — Persona 4 Revival – 456.
2 — Splatoon Raiders – 562.
1 — Pokémon Winds & Waves – 678.
The release of Persona 4 Revival is expected in February next year. Atlus is also currently working on a full-fledged new installment, Persona 6, for which a Steam store page was recently opened.
