Robert Henrysson took office only in 2024.

Supermassive Games, known for Until Dawn, The Quarry, The Dark Pictures Anthology, Little Nightmares 3, and Directive 8020, has announced a change in leadership. The company's CEO, Robert Henrysson, is stepping down, as announced by its parent company, Nordisk Games.

Henrysson joined Nordisk Games in 2022 as a partner and became the head of Supermassive Games in 2024. Prior to this, he served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Avalanche Studios.

His tenure proved to be challenging. It was under Henrysson that the studio carried out large-scale staff reductions and postponed the release of Directive 8020 from 2025 to 2026. Ultimately, the game was released in May of this year.

In an official statement, Nordisk Games noted that during Henrysson's time, the studio's leadership team was completely restructured, the development strategy was adjusted, and the development of Directive 8020 – a new installment in The Dark Pictures Anthology series – was completed. According to the company, this game received the highest critical acclaim among all projects in the series.

Graham Low will temporarily assume the duties of studio head while Supermassive Games searches for a new permanent leader.
