A timer appeared on the official Weta Workshop website, informing people that on July 3, 2026, at 00:00 Moscow time, pre-orders for a new collectible model of Weathertop, also known as Amon Sûl, will open.
It accurately recreates one of the key locations from "The Lord of the Rings" film trilogy. Based on original film materials, artists reconstructed the ancient watchtower of past eras from blueprints and set sketches, then carefully transformed it into ruins, so that every crack and fallen stone looks authentic.
This Númenórean architecture with a digital aging effect was then combined with hand-sculpted terrain, bringing the historical hill to life. Hidden within the hillside is a small but no less important stone cave, glowing with a subtle campfire gleam – both inviting and ominous.
More precisely, the LED lighting simulates the flickering of a campfire, illuminating the evening twilight. The color scheme, consisting of soft twilight and dark shades, conveys the tension and atmosphere of the fateful night during which the naive hobbits incurred the furious wrath of the Nazgûl.
The lighting is based on LEDs and simulates the flickering of a campfire. The architecture was digitally modeled by Charlotte Key. The surrounding terrain was hand-sculpted by Shaun Bolton and Shanti Costar.
The collectible, made of polystone, is 19 cm high, 42 cm wide, 28.5 cm deep, and weighs 5.99 kg. The release of the new item is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
