Fan-made The Witcher Online Implements Group System and Cutscene Synchronization

The unofficial multiplayer is gradually improving.

Modder rejuvenate recently presented an update for The Witcher Online project. The unofficial multiplayer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received version 4.0.

The developer said that in The Witcher Online 4.0, players can now team up in groups — this will allow them to synchronize time, weather, and dialogue choices in cutscenes.

Dialogue choices made by the group leader will also be set for other players in the group.

Otherwise, everything remains the same. Although The Witcher Online allows players to play together in multiplayer, the project does not support co-op monster fighting or quest completion. However, there is another form of interaction: you can ride other Geralts and take an unusual "ride".

The Witcher Online modification is distributed for free via Nexus Mods.

Currently, CD Projekt RED, in collaboration with Fool's Theory, is developing an expansion called Songs of the Past. It does not yet have an exact release date, but the release window is known — 2027.
