The duration of the DLC has also been revealed.

Id Software has shared new details about the paid DOOM: The Dark Ages - Revelations DLC, which will be released next week. According to co-director Hugo Martin, the expansion will take 10 to 12 hours to complete, and players can expect not only a story campaign but also a full set of endgame activities.

The developers note that Revelations will be the largest expansion in the history of the modern Doom series. In terms of content, it surpasses DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 1 and Part 2 combined.

However, the story campaign accounts for only about 60% of the DLC's total content. After its completion, a special endgame will unlock, including many additional challenges and modes.

These include completing levels on Master difficulty, new routes and puzzles, and unique Praetor Suit Encounters combat arenas. Another new mode will be Slayer Trials, offering an arcade-style scoring system. In addition, the DLC will feature classic levels inspired by maps from earlier Doom installments.

As players progress, they will unlock access to an uber-boss battle, and then test their skills in four special Master Arenas.

The content doesn't end there. All unlocked elements of the DLC can be used in the Ripatorium, and the new Slayer Hub location will offer additional story materials, secrets, and information about the game world.
