Players asked for it: Embark Studio updated the matchmaking system in ARC Raiders

The shooter will also get a crossover with The Finals.

Embark Studios released update 1.36.0 for ARC Raiders, the main new feature of which was a redesigned matchmaking system. The changes are based on community feedback and the results of a survey conducted among players in May.

The developers reported that matchmaking for solo, duo, and team (trio) modes will now take into account the playstyle separately for each format. This means that a user's preferences in solo, duo, and trio will no longer be mixed.

According to Embark, previously, players who preferred a calm solo playthrough often ended up in more cooperative matches with trios. At the same time, PvP enthusiasts in team sessions could find themselves in more aggressive solo matches. After the update, players will be able to freely switch between leisurely exploration of the world and completing tasks in solo, as well as intense PvP battles in trios, simply by changing the size of their squad. A similar principle will apply to the duo mode.

In addition, update 1.36.0 brought a crossover with The Finals. From July 9 to 30, themed cosmetic items will be available in the game: the Azimuth Outfit and the Archeologist Backpack set.
