Mob and Reigen Return in New Short for "Mob Psycho 100" 10th Anniversary
Studio Bones gathered almost the entire original anime team to create the anniversary video.
The creators of "Mob Psycho 100" have released a new short film in honor of the anime's tenth anniversary. The two-minute video was first shown on July 12 during the anniversary event "Alumni Meeting," after which it became publicly available.
The short takes place in the office of a consultation service for ghosts and other supernatural entities. Reigen decides to launch his own video channel and involves Mob in the new venture, but another supernatural incident quickly puts the self-proclaimed psychic in a difficult position.
The short was once again worked on by members of the team that created the original anime. Character designer Yoshimichi Kameda admitted that after several years, production resumed as if the series had just recently concluded:
"We managed to reassemble almost the entire original team. Everything starts so familiarly and effortlessly, as if the previous episode aired just last week. "Mob Psycho 100" is a special work for me, thanks to which I saw many new horizons."
Kameda also presented a new celebratory illustration featuring the series' characters.
The first season of "Mob Psycho 100" premiered on July 12, 2016. Studio Bones released a total of three seasons, the last of which concluded Mob's main story in December 2022.
