What about Half-Life 3? Valve veteran ends 45-year career and answers fan questions
Some fans continue to await the announcement of a new installment in the franchise.
Recently, experienced developer Christopher H. Green announced that he had left Valve and concluded his 45-year career. He published a blog and also answered questions from the gaming community on the Reddit forum.
The specialist noted that this is not the first time he has tried to "retire," but he is confident that this time it will work out:

Naturally, there were also questions about Half-Life 3, which fans have been waiting for many years. Dataminers believe that this project within Valve is designated by the code name "HLX" — traces have been repeatedly found in the code of other company games.
When asked about HLX, Christopher H. Green responded with a cryptic comment: "I think you know the answer to that question :-)".
Christopher admits that he might take on some projects, but "most likely" these will be projects on GitHub or "one-off personal things," rather than commercial games.
