Although it's AI voice acting, creating such a localization required a lot of manual labor.

Recently, an enthusiast under the nickname NeuroLoc, who specializes in neural network voice acting for video games, presented a localization for Terminator: Resistance.

A text-based Russian localization was already available for the Teyon studio's shooter, and now players will be able to complete the project with Russian voice acting.

NeuroLoc clarified that he used AI to voice not only the main game Terminator: Resistance but also the story expansion Annihilation Line.

The localizer noted that, although it is AI voice acting, he devoted a significant amount of time to working on it:

Although the Russian localization is neural network-based, rest assured that at least 200 hours of manual labor were spent on its creation and polishing!.

The shooter Terminator: Resistance received "very positive" reviews from players on Steam. The subsequently released Annihilation Line expansion also received rave reviews:

Annihilation Line begins midway through the main campaign story. The Resistance has just defeated its first scout, but Jacob Rivers has no time to rest. John Connor himself has ordered Jacob to assist in the investigation of the Northridge Outpost, a civilian settlement that has mysteriously gone silent. Why has no one from Northridge attempted to radio in? Is this Skynet's work? And are the civilians still alive? To find answers, Rivers and a small squad of Resistance soldiers led by Connor's right-hand man Kyle Reese must venture into the most dangerous territory imaginable... the land beyond the Annihilation Line.
