According to the LinkedIn profile of a former Bethesda producer, MachineGames studio was developing a canceled tactical PvP shooter from 2021 to 2025. Xbox decided to bet on another project.

MachineGames, known for the Wolfenstein series and the game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, was working on another project that was never officially unveiled. The development was canceled.

The information appeared thanks to the LinkedIn profile of former Bethesda Softworks producer Alex Jones. His experience description mentions work on a canceled online first-person PvP shooter. It seems to be a project codenamed Project Platinum.

The game was first mentioned during the FTC vs. Microsoft lawsuit in 2023. The published documents referred to a tactical shooter similar to Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six Siege. Instead of a single-player campaign, the developers planned to create a new franchise with an emphasis on multiplayer.

According to rumors, players were supposed to fight on various maps, including Middle Eastern cities and a stylized railway station, performing tactical tasks such as hostage rescue.

The project was developed from at least 2021 to 2025 and never made it to an official announcement. In the end, MachineGames focused on story-driven games.
