"Spider-Man: No Way Home" Earns a Billion Dollars in Just Six Days

Only "Avengers: Endgame" crossed this milestone faster.

"Spider-Man: No Way Home" continues its successful run at the global box office. In its first six days, the film surpassed the one billion dollar mark, bringing its total gross to $1.05 billion. The film achieved the second-fastest result in cinema history: only "Avengers: Endgame" reached this milestone faster, earning $1.2 billion in its debut weekend in April 2019.

Previously, "No Way Home" surpassed "Endgame" in opening weekend gross in North America and set new records for preview and opening day box office. In its first weekend, the film earned $360 million against $357.1 million for the fourth "Avengers" film, becoming the biggest domestic opening in history. The film's global opening was $932 million – the second-highest in history after "Endgame"'s $1.22 billion.

Amidst the film's success, IMAX changed its schedule and decided to split screens between "No Way Home" and Christopher Nolan's "Odyssey." Initially, the new "Spider-Man" was released in North America without screenings in this format.
