The average season ratings were slightly lower than the previous one, but HBO was satisfied with the result.

The final episode of the third season of "House of the Dragon" attracted 21 million viewers in the first three days after its premiere. The statistics combine HBO's television audience, measured by Nielsen, and views on HBO Max.

The result was 2% lower than the season premiere, which gathered 21.5 million viewers over the same period. It is impossible to compare these figures with the second season finale, as Warner Bros. Discovery did not publish similar data.

The average audience for the third season is currently 34 million viewers per episode, compared to 35 million for the second. Despite a slight decrease, HBO is satisfied with the results: the third season of "House of the Dragon" became one of the top three most-watched new seasons in HBO Max history.

The finale was released on August 10 and concluded another stage of the Dance of the Dragons. The Targaryen story will end with the fourth season, which will be the last for the series. Its premiere is expected in the summer of 2028, although HBO has not yet announced a release window.
