The Next Expedition in ARC Raiders Will Be the Last Until at Least Early 2027 - Embark Prepares a Major System Overhaul

Embark Studios has confirmed that the fifth Expedition in ARC Raiders will be the last until early 2027. The developers have decided to temporarily abandon the system and rework it following criticism from players.

The next Expedition starts on September 8 and ends on September 29. Participation remains voluntary: players can reset their Raider's progress, losing their level, stash contents, and accumulated resources, but in return, they receive permanent upgrades, additional skill points, and stash space.

The need to reset progress became one of the community's main complaints. Players also criticized the limited duration of Expeditions and the reward structure, considering them insufficient compensation for lost progress.

Embark acknowledged the problems and stated that the system needs "more extensive changes."
