GTA VI Leaks Investigation "Rapidly Developing" - Take-Two Demands Secrecy for Its Requests

It seems lawyers have narrowed down the search for the source of the GTA VI material leak.

 In August, a hacker (or group of attackers) known as Cyberleek actively published GTA VI gameplay footage. The official presentation of "Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Showcase" recently took place, and while players are discussing what they saw, Take-Two's lawyers continue to hunt for the source of the leak.

Take-Two filed a new subpoena request to Discord* as part of a DMCA case, meaning a demand was sent to the service provider to disclose the real data of users accused of copyright infringement.

At the same time, Take-Two's lawyers demanded that this document be kept secret so that the alleged infringers could not obtain information about the progress of the investigation.

It also became known that Take-Two withdrew its subpoena request to YouTube – the company tried to obtain data about the creators of the CyberLeeks, Surfer24k, and CyberLeek_ar_io channels, but this information is no longer required.

Take-Two noted that its investigation is "rapidly developing and ongoing," and this is why the second subpoena requests "different information" than the first. The content of the new demands is not disclosed.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Nothing has been reported yet about the PC version's release window.
