DOOM Composer Mick Gordon Contributed to the Music for the First StarCraft Shooter Trailer

Blizzard recently released the first cinematic trailer for the upcoming StarCraft universe shooter. Players enjoyed the atmosphere in the video, but the background music received special attention – fans heard hints of Mick Gordon's work in the composition. Gordon himself shared the trailer on social media, which only strengthened fans' assumptions.

However, Blizzard later clarified that the main work on the music for the trailer was done by the Finishing Move team, known for the DOOM: The Dark Ages soundtrack. At the same time, Gordon did participate in the creation of the composition: according to Blizzard music producer Charlotte Pyne, he prepared early thematic developments for the project, which Finishing Move then used.
