The iconic psychological horror Doki Doki Literature Club is back on Android five months after being removed from Google Play

The Serenity Forge team found a new home for the mobile version of the game after its removal from the Google store.

The psychological horror Doki Doki Literature Club is officially available again on Android. Serenity Forge released the mobile version on the Epic Games Store, deciding to move the game to an alternative platform instead of making changes to the content that would have been required after its removal from Google Play due to "sensitive content."

Previously, Serenity Forge and project author Dan Salvato stated that they disagreed with Google's decision and believed that the game carefully handles themes of mental health.

Doki Doki Literature Club was released on PC in 2017 and quickly gained cult status. The visual novel begins as a harmless story about a school literature club, but gradually turns into a psychological horror with themes of depression, loneliness, and self-destruction.

The game is still available without restrictions on the App Store.
