Double Fine raises $50k for actress who agreed to work with the studio for free

The studio previously stated that it planned to invite Erika Ishii to voice its next game.

Previously, Double Fine studio boasted that it had raised more than $550,000 for the development of its next project, and promised to hire Ghost of Yōtei star Erika Ishii if the fundraising amount exceeded $600,000.

Through simple mathematical calculations, people concluded that Ishii's services would cost Double Fine $50,000. However, as it turned out, the actress agreed to work with the studio completely free of charge to support Double Fine's independent endeavors. Moreover, this was not reported by journalists who conducted some investigation, but by Double Fine itself.
