Double Fine raises $50k for actress who agreed to work with the studio for free

Previously, Double Fine studio boasted that it had raised more than $550,000 for the development of its next project, and promised to hire Ghost of Yōtei star Erika Ishii if the fundraising amount exceeded $600,000.

Through simple mathematical calculations, people concluded that Ishii's services would cost Double Fine $50,000. However, as it turned out, the actress agreed to work with the studio completely free of charge to support Double Fine's independent endeavors.
