The Blood of Dawnwalker to Receive New Difficulty, Optimization, and Gameplay Improvements - Details of the Next Update
Developers have studied feedback and are now preparing to refine the game.
The Blood of Dawnwalker, released earlier this month on PC and consoles, has already received several small patches. Now, the developers have announced a major update.
Soon, the game will get a new difficulty level — for those who would like to simplify the game. It doesn't have a specific name yet, but it will effectively replace the current Story difficulty; the existing version will be renamed.
Changes will also be made to the combat system: work is underway on a target lock-on system. In the new combat version, stun will be removed after three hits; they also want to fix a mechanic that causes the game to switch to another opponent when using stun.
In addition, the creators of The Blood of Dawnwalker intend to work on optimizing the PC version of the game. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz noted that some players find 60 FPS insufficient — there are those dissatisfied that the game runs not at 120 FPS, but only 70-90 FPS: “I understand, but the game is not really about that. Our game is not a shooter — it's not a project where [frame rate] is so crucial. But people want good performance or even more: and that's normal. We are working on [performance] and will continue to work.”
The developers are also “considering” the possibility of adding New Game Plus, but are not promising anything yet.
The release of the major update for The Blood of Dawnwalker is expected in October. The developers have not yet announced a specific release date.
