Zack Snyder fans demand new Warner Bros. owner restore the SnyderVerse
The merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. has given fans new hope for changes at DC Studios.
On October 6, Skydance CEO David Ellison posted a message on X, thanking everyone who helped with the merger of Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount, stating that the company is “just getting started”:
“Today marks a new day for Skydance, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us get to this point. This is a big day, and we are just getting started. Onward!”
Soon after, hashtags #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and comments calling for Zack Snyder to return to work on sequels to “Justice League” began appearing under the post. Some users suggested re-releasing his films in theaters to gauge audience interest, while others criticized James Gunn's current cinematic universe and called Snyder's return a way to change the situation.

Nevertheless, it is too early to talk about changes within DC Studios. Earlier, The Hollywood Reporter reported that at a meeting on October 1, Ellison offered James Gunn and Peter Safran to retain their positions as studio heads and asked them to “keep doing what you're doing.
The next film in the current DCU will be “Clayface,” scheduled to premiere on October 23, 2026. The sequel to “Superman” — “Man of Tomorrow” — will be released on July 9, 2027. Gunn himself has already announced that he is writing the script for the next film, but has not yet revealed its title.
