In all Call of Duty campaigns, it has always been possible to choose the difficulty level — from "recruit" to "veteran". But in Black Ops 7, this option will not be available.
The campaign of the new part is designed for both single-player and cooperative play for up to four players. The difficulty level is built into the system and changes automatically depending on the number of participants. You cannot change it in the settings.
"The difficulty is built into the game. We made the campaign so that it works both solo and with four players. You can't choose the difficulty level like before. It is important for us that the missions are suitable for solo play — we remember such players, we love them. But at the same time, this is a social experience, and we wanted the game to feel both fun and challenging enough in pairs, in threes or in fours."
This is the explanation for the absence of the usual "veteran" runs for fans of the single-player campaign in Black Ops 7.
