Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 became one of the biggest premieres of Gamescom 2025. The developers from KING Art Games not only shared their vision for the future of RTS, but also outlined the main priority - single-player campaigns.

In an interview, creative director Jan Theysen explained:

"We are known for creating games with a strong story, and the Iron Harvest campaign was warmly received. It immediately became clear to us: story campaigns should become the basis of the game."

Instead of one storyline about the Space Marines or a campaign with short chapters for everyone, the team is preparing four large-scale campaigns - one for each faction. A training mode will also be added.

The developers are making the campaigns more flexible: players will have access to additional tasks, and the decisions made will really affect the passage.

"We asked Iron Harvest fans what was most important to them, and the vast majority chose single-player mode and campaign," added Theysen.

But multiplayer will not be left out:

"Of course, there will be modes for those who want to play with friends or compete with other players."

Dawn of War 4 will be released on PC in 2026.
