Kylin V11 is the first commercial solution in the country based on the Linux Kernel 6.6. Key companies have joined the Kylin ecosystem, including Hygon, Loongson, China Greatwall Technology, as well as software developers Kingsoft and ZWSoftware. This provides users with complete local alternatives to Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
The launch of Kylin V11 is directly linked to the state strategy "Made in China 2025", which focuses on reducing dependence on Western technologies. The system's release also reflects the growing trade tensions between the US and China.
Today, Windows holds approximately 81% of the Chinese market, but the emergence of Kylin V11 demonstrates that the country continues to build its own digital ecosystem foundation.
