Among Us has released update 17.0.0, which significantly changes the usual balance.
Crewmates now have access to the Detective role — it allows them to take notes on the deceased, suspects, and types of impostors, as well as interrogate players about their location. The number of interrogations is limited and regulated by the settings. The role was created specifically to make discussions at Emergency Meetings deeper and more intense. Impostors have a new Viper role: uses acid to completely dissolve crewmate bodies in several stages, erasing evidence. In the settings, you can change the dissolution rate, and a new kill animation is also available.
The guide has been updated to include all nine roles, the roles menu is now scrollable and ordered from old to new, and the training mode now allows you to select crewmate and impostor roles through separate folders.
The developers have also improved the overall quality of the game by fixing a number of bugs.
