Fan remake of Heroes of Might and Magic 2 gets an update - fheroes2 improves image, map editor and more

Fans have been supporting the classic for many years.

The fheroes2 project team has released update 1.1.11. This game engine is a multiplatform free remake of the original Heroes of Might and Magic 2.

Modders have introduced a number of improvements and made changes to the mechanics:

• Expanded map editor capabilities. Now map makers have access to spell customization in the mage guild. In cities, you can choose which specific spells will be available to players.
• The editor now has the ability to more flexibly configure the "random creature" object
• Added visual improvements - now the window where the creature growth week is announced will display its image.
• Changed the operation of the whirlpool - to use it, you can no longer just press the space bar, you must now use movement points to interact with this object.
• The creature reference window will now display the exact cost of the upgrade when you click on the upgrade button
• Bug fixes and translation improvements
