The realistic flight simulator for mobile devices has become a little more realistic.
Ten Square Games has released a major update for the mobile flight simulator Real Flight Simulator. With version 3.0, the project received a new Real World Engine with support for a spherical Earth model. This has improved the rendering of depth and distance to objects, and added the ability to observe the natural curvature of the planet at high altitudes.
In parallel, elevation maps have been reworked, satellite imagery textures have been improved, and terrain clarity has been increased. Polar regions, previously displayed schematically, have become more detailed and stable. Significant changes have been made to visibility: fog density has been reduced, making visual and instrument flights easier and safer.
The update also affected the lighting system. Sunrises and sunsets now look more natural, with softer color gradients and realistic interaction of light with the surface. Water and reflections have been improved, as well as the behavior of glare on aircraft bodies depending on lighting.
Additionally, the developers have reworked the sound model for a number of aircraft. In particular, the B747-400F, A310-300, MD11F and MD11 now support surround sound, increasing immersion in the cockpit. At the same time, the application's performance has been optimized to compensate for the increase in visual load.
Real Flight Simulator is available on Google Play and the App Store.
