The project is conceived as more diverse than Hitman: World of Assassination. Both stealth lovers and those who prefer direct action will find something to enjoy here. The authors emphasize that it is the player who should decide how to complete the mission and eliminate obstacles.
The developers previously noted that Bond is not Agent 47, and handling weapons is natural for him. But at the same time, the game will feature gadgets that will become an important element of the gameplay. In an interview, game director Andreas Crow stated that the studio has prepared a whole set of devices, making them not just spectacular, but also truly useful.
"We wanted each gadget to be practical, reliable, but at the same time exciting and playable, so that it would be suitable for as many game zones as possible. We also wanted them to be different from each other both visually and practically, so that each had its own unique purpose. Ultimately, they should provide players with a wide range of tools tailored to their play style."
It was the freedom of choice and scope for methodical action that led the rights holders to entrust IO Interactive with the return of James Bond to games. Amazon insisted that the agent should not rely only on weapons and a "license to kill."
