The developers continue to gradually refine the project.
In September, the developers of Ara History Untold celebrated the anniversary of the 4X strategy game with a major 2.0 Revolutions update. They expanded the game systems and prepared units.
Some of the new features and changes:
- Units for each nation — each civilization now commands unique historical troops, from Mongolian horse archers to Japanese samurai
- Reworked leader design: "Each leader has been rethought and endowed with unique mechanics, traits, and abilities, providing greater replayability and personality-driven diplomacy."
- Instigator Squad — appears with the "Revolutions" technology at the end of the Renaissance era; agitators can be sent to neighboring foreign regions to incite rebellions and, using their influence, annex these territories to their nation.
- A system of priorities and quotas for production has appeared
- Improved AI
- A new quality of life category, "Culture," appears in cities. It generates a new currency, "influence," used to acquire cultural characteristics and expand territory, which "creates meaningful alternatives to military expansion."
- Reworked map generation
- Improved interface and game performance
