Although Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has already been officially announced, the original Hell Let Loose is not losing its relevance. The developers have confirmed that the project will be developed in parallel with the new installment for several more years.
In the upcoming major Update #19, a new map will be added to the game — "Smolensk". This is an urban battlefield with many narrow alleys, barricades, and enclosed spaces. The map is expected to be released before the end of the year.
Meanwhile, version 18 has already been released, which overhauls "Stalingrad" — one of the most impressive maps in the shooter. The developers have improved the visuals, changed many areas, and reworked the balance to give both sides of the conflict equal chances.
The update also affected almost all armored vehicles. The speed, maneuverability, and stability of tanks have changed. Now the type of surface affects the maximum speed of movement, which makes the mechanics more realistic.
The full list of changes is published at link. The developers promise to continue updating the game and supporting it on par with Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.
