Denuvo is not only a sadly famous DRM solution. The company also fights against cheating gamers.
Embark Studios has announced an update for The Finals. The protection of the free-to-play shooter will be enhanced thanks to the anti-cheat solution from Denuvo.
The developers of The Finals will be implementing Denuvo AntiCheat, which, according to them:
...has proven to be the perfect addition to our existing tools. Implementation will begin with this release and will be completed by the end of next week. Anybrain, which we talked about earlier, is also becoming part of our ever-expanding toolkit for combating cheaters. We have also been working hard to eliminate gamepad spoofing [when a player with a keyboard and mouse deceives the system that they are using a controller] and have updated its detection capabilities in this release.
