Warhammer: Vermintide 3 is not planned. Fatshark is focused on the second part

It has been almost eight years since the release of Warhammer: Vermintide 2, but Fatshark studio is not planning a sequel yet. The developers are focused on expanding the current game.

Designer Joakim Setterberg said in an interview:

"We can always create campaigns in different directions, explore the world of Warhammer Fantasy. We still have many ideas, including the development of existing content, such as Chaos Wastes."

Last year, a 4-on-4 PvP mode was added to Vermintide 2. The team is planning new major updates and improvements to the basic mechanics to take into account the wishes of the community:

"Players would like us to review or fix many gameplay moments, but we have several systems that are still a bit raw. We can always tweak them. From a quality point of view, I would say that there is still much to be done. So Vermintide will continue to evolve."

Fatshark can draw ideas from Warhammer 40,000: Darktide - another cooperative game from the studio with an emphasis on ranged weapons.

"We implemented a very cool sprint technology in Darktide, and this is the only thing that always annoys me when I switch between games [when testing them]. The Shift key doesn't do anything? Why? It's crazy"

In honor of the tenth anniversary of the original game, a free Death on the Reik map will be released in Vermintide 2 on November 20. Halloween events with new cosmetic items, double experience, and quests are taking place in the game until November 2.
