The analytical company Ampere Analysis has identified 18 video games that, in its opinion, have high potential for successful remakes or remasters. In her presentation, Senior Analyst Katie Holt emphasized that intellectual property owners are "sitting on a treasure trove of content ready to be relaunched", and the list is not exhaustive.

Earlier, Ampere reported that gamers have spent twice as much on remakes as on remasters in the past two years. According to the study, remakes and remasters released in 2024–2025 attracted 72.4 million players on Xbox, PlayStation and Steam, and total spending on premium games and microtransactions amounted to about $1.4 billion.
